Eat Tomatoes And Other Red Foods

How Ginger Destroys Prostate, Ovarian and Colon Cancer – Better Than Chemo – HEA. Tube

Tomatoes, watermelon, and other red foods owe their bright color to a powerful antioxidant called lycopene. Some recent studies show that men who consume this fruit and tomato-based products have a lower risk of prostate cancer than those who dont. However, the American Institute for Cancer Research cautions that studies linking tomatoes to prostate cancer prevention are limited and ongoing.

A 2018 study from Spain suggest that cooking tomatoes makes it easier for your body to absorb lycopene. The redder the tomato, the better because lycopene accumulates during ripening. That means that pale, store-bought tomatoes that are picked too early have less lycopene than vine-ripened tomatoes.

  • Drinking four to five cups of coffee every day can lower your chances of fatal and high-grade prostate cancer, according to a 2014 review of clinical studies.
  • Regardless of how many cups you drink overall, every three cups of coffee you drink can reduce your risk of fatal prostate cancer about 11 percent.

This describes a dose-response relationship between prostate cancer and coffee. That means the effect on prostate cancer goes up or down with the amount of coffee you drink. These effects may not extend to someone who only grabs an occasional cup.

However, high doses of caffeine can cause major health issues, such as irregular heartbeat and seizures. The Mayo Clinic cautions against ingesting more than 400 milligrams of caffeine a day, the equivalent of four cups of brewed coffee.

Do Eggs Cause Prostate Cancer

According to a study published in Cancer Prevention Research, eating eggs could increase your chances of being diagnosed with prostate cancer. The study followed a large group of 27,607 men over 14 years .

Men who consumed 2.5 or more eggs each week had an 81 percent increased risk of developing advanced prostate cancer compared to those who ate less than half an egg each week.

However, there are a few problems with this study.

So before you panic, lets take a look at what they are

First of all, only 199 out men out of 27,607 developed advanced prostate cancer. Thats just 0.72 percent.

A percentage that small suggests that the association could be down to chance.

Researchers also found that men who ate more eggs were also likely to exercise less, smoke, have a high Body Mass Index , or have a family history of prostate cancer.

This suggests that other factors were likely to have been involved in the increased risk.

While the prospective study controlled the above factors, there were likely other factors that were not accounted for, which silently contributed to the increased risk of prostate cancer.

Participants were required to answer questionnaires about their eating habits every four years.

Yet recall bias would almost certainly play a significant role in the outcome, as it will be difficult to remember what youve been eating over the last 4 years.

The study found that higher consumption of eggs did not increase the risk of developing prostate cancer.

Home Remedies For Prostate Disorders

What are Prostate Disorders?

As the name suggests, Prostate Disorders are disorders arising in the chestnut-sized prostate gland present in men. The risk of developing Prostate disorders increases with age. Some common prostate problems include problems like inflammation, enlargement of the gland and even cancer.

In medical terms, Prostate Disorder causing enlargement of the gland is referred to as Hypertrophy. Prostatitis refers to inflammation of the prostate gland, usually caused by infection. Prostate Cancer is a very serious disease that is present without any relevant symptoms and hence remains undetected till it the advanced stages.

Prostatitis, on the other hand, can be classified as acute, chronic or asymptomatic. Several conventional medicines as well as natural home remedies for Prostate Disorders help to control such problems quite effectively. The treatment for Prostate Cancer may call for the removal of prostate gland altogether in order to prevent further damage.

Causes and Symptoms of Prostate disordersProstate Disorders like Prostatitis are usually caused by bacterial as well as non bacterial causes. Factors like sitting in one position for longer periods of time, over exposure to cold climates and infectious diseases have been associated with the incidence of Acute Prostatitis. Recurring bacterial infections in the prostate gland increase the risk of developing chronic Prostatitis.

How Does Diet Affect Urological Health

The male urinary system consists of many important organs aside from the prostate. The kidneys, ureter, Vas Deferens the tube that is modified during a vasectomy, bladder, urethra, testicles, and penis make up the male urinary structure from top to bottom.;

Eating a healthy diet can help the urinary system prevent bacteria, inflammation, and decrease the acidity levels within your urine. These issues, especially if chronic, can lead to many serious health concerns that men of all ages must stay on top of. Again, prevention is key in this case.;

How To Use Lemons To Fight Cancer

Flaxseed and Prostate Cancer: Does It Work?

IntroductionLemons, especially their peels, are an excellent source of terpenes such as d-limonene. The term terpene probably conjures up images of cleaning solvents, but while naturally occurring terpenes are actually used as alternative to synthetic terpenes in many natural cleaning products, the primary health benefits of terpenes revolve around some impressive anticancer effects both in prevention and possibly treatment.

Background Data:D-limonene and related terpenes have shown considerable benefits in animal studies against a wide number of cancers. Preliminary studies in humans are also showing promising results. For example, six individuals with advanced cancers were able to halt the progression of their cancer for periods of time ranging from six to twelve months while taking d-limonene.

New Data:In a study conducted at the University of Arizona Cancer Center 43 women with newly diagnosed operable breast cancer electing to undergo lumpectomy were given 2 grams of limonene daily for two to six weeks before surgery. Blood and breast tissue were collected to determine the level of d-limonene and its metabolites as well as changes in systemic and tissue biomarkers of breast cancer risk or carcinogenesis.

Results showed that d-limonene was found to preferentially concentrate in the breast tissue, reaching high tissue concentration , whereas the major active circulating metabolite, perillic acid, did not concentrate in the breast tissue.

Aerobic And Resistance Exercises

Physical activities can help in minimizing urinary problems which are common in an enlarged prostate. It may help you maintain an ideal weight and get rid of the symptoms. Perform aerobic exercises such as running, jogging, playing tennis or basketball and walking every day. Resistance exercises strengthen and tone the pelvic muscles which in turn reduces inflammation. Do weight lifting, push-ups and swimming, for at least 30 minutes, several times in a week to alleviate enlarged prostate symptoms.

Natural Home Remedies For Bph

An enlarged prostate, also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia , is a disorder that generally tends to affect men as they age. With age, the cells of the gland begin to multiply, leading to an enlarged prostate. An enlarged prostate is problematic because it presses on the urethra, creating difficulties with urination and weakening the bladder. BPH will produce symptoms such as weak or interrupted urine stream, inability to urinate, difficulty starting or holding urination, and the need to frequently urinate, especially at night.

Ignoring prostate problems, as some men tend to do, isnt a smart idea. If left untreated, an enlarged prostate can block the flow of urine out of the bladder, leading to other complications such as urinary retention and kidney damage. Below are some natural remedies you can try at home to ease symptoms of BPH.

Foods You Should Not Eat If You Have Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate. As the prostate enlarges, it can squeeze down on your urethra, causing the bladder wall to become thicker. This enlargement obstructs the flow of urine and causes symptoms including an intermittent and weak urine stream, straining to urinate, incomplete bladder emptying, sudden uncontrollable urges to urinate and increased urinary frequency.

Past studies have shown that certain foods can not only increase your risk but can also worsen the symptoms of BPH and other prostate issues. The foods listed below are those that should be avoided.

How To Make Baking Soda Molasses Cancer Protocol Solutions

Mix one teaspoon of baking soda without aluminum with one teaspoon of maple syrup, one teaspoon of molasses, or one tablespoon manuka honey. Drink this every morning on an empty stomach with one with a glass of clean bottled water. It is good to drink this preparation once in the evening before going to bed. Take this mixture twice a day for the first week, then increase it three times a day after one week. Continue this program for 4 to 6 weeks. Then take a break for 4 weeks, and you can start the same program after a 4-week break.

You mustnt perform any physical activity for 40 minutes after taking this preparation, including walking. This is a preventive method by which we achieve that the body does not use sugars from maple syrup. You also need to eliminate sugar from your diet so that maple sugar does not mix and neutralize. We actually want the glucose from these preparations to be taken by cancer cells along with baking soda.

What Role Does Choline Play

Choline is an essential nutrient found in eggs that helps cells repair and rebuild every time they divide.

Eggs are the most abundant source of choline, with about 683 mg choline per 100 grams of yolk.

The problem is that choline is also found in prostate cancer cells. As such, there are fears about whether or not choline can increase your risk of developing prostate cancer.

Another factor is that dietary choline is transformed into trimethylamine in the gut.

Research has suggested that the trimethylamine produced from high levels of dietary choline intake may increase inflammation, which in turn, could promote prostate cancer progression to lethal disease.

A study looking at the relationship between choline intake and aggressive prostate cancer was published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition .

There were 47896 men involved in the study. Their diet was assessed 6 times over 22 years.

Men who consumed the highest amount of choline had a 70% increase in developing aggressive prostate cancer compared to men with the lowest intake of choline.

However, this finding is confined to a small population in America. Studies in other countries are required to determine if choline is truly linked to prostate cancer .

One of the issues with the theory that choline in eggs increases prostate cancer risk is that there are more prominent contributors to choline in the American diet, such as wheat germ .

Honey And Cancer: Sustainable Inverse Relationship Particularly For Developing Nationsa Review

Abstract

Honey and cancer has a sustainable inverse relationship. Carcinogenesis is a multistep process and has multifactorial causes. Among these are low immune status, chronic infection, chronic inflammation, chronic non healing ulcers, obesity, and so forth. There is now a sizeable evidence that honey is a natural immune booster, natural anti-inflammatory agent, natural antimicrobial agent, natural cancer vaccine, and natural promoter for healing chronic ulcers and wounds. Though honey has substances of which the most predominant is a mixture of sugars, which itself is thought to be carcinogenic, it is understandable that its beneficial effect as anticancer agent raises skeptics. The positive scientific evidence for anticancer properties of honey is growing. The mechanism on how honey has anticancer effect is an area of great interest. Among the mechanisms suggested are inhibition of cell proliferation, induction of apoptosis, and cell-cycle arrest. Honey and cancer has sustainable inverse relationship in the setting of developing nations where resources for cancer prevention and treatment are limited.

Proteomics Reveals How Ancient Remedy Slows Prostate Tumor Cell Proliferation

Honey and Cancer: The Shocking Truth! by Dr. Paulson ND

May 4, 2012

An over-the-counter natural remedy derived from honeybee hives arrests the growth of prostate cancer cells and tumors in mice, according to a new paper from researchers at the University of Chicago Medicine.

Caffeic acid phenethyl ester, or CAPE, is a compound isolated from honeybee hive propolis, the resin used by bees to patch up holes in hives. Propolis has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for conditions ranging from sore throats and allergies to burns and cancer. But the compound has not gained acceptance in the clinic due to scientific questions about its effect on cells.

In a paper published in Cancer Prevention Research, researchers combined traditional cancer research methods with cutting-edge proteomics to find that CAPE arrests early-stage prostate cancer by shutting down the tumor cells’ system for detecting sources of nutrition.

“If you feed CAPE to mice daily, their tumors will stop growing. After several weeks, if you stop the treatment, the tumors will begin to grow again at their original pace,” said Richard B. Jones, PhD, assistant professor in the Ben May Department for Cancer Research and Institute for Genomics and Systems Biology and senior author of the study. “So it doesn’t kill the cancer, but it basically will indefinitely stop prostate cancer proliferation.”

Whats All The Hype About Honey

This Sunday evening marks the start of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. It will be the start of 5779. We will take time as this year comes to a close to appreciate the good things in our lives and to extend heartfelt wishes that the next year brings goodness to all of you.

There are some foods specific to this holiday that are eaten for their symbolism; we eat pomegranates and apples that are dipped in honey. In particular we eat honey in the hope that the coming year will be sweet.

I am in the habit each year at this time of doing a review of the scientific literature to see what new information has been published regarding honey and health. It looks like I started the practice in 2005. .

The number of articles being published about honey seems to have grown over the years: 689 articles have been published in the first 9 months of 2018; 873 in 2017. Back in 2006 my PubMed search for honey yielded only 248 citations for 2005.

Going back to October 2017, manuka honey made up as a gel and eye drops was used to treat 114 patients with dry eye. After 8 weeks there was significant improvement in a range of symptoms.2 Another trial, this one published in December 2017 reported that honey was useful for dry eye conditions caused by contact lenses.3

How Is Prostate Cancer Treated

Best Fruits For A Healthy Prostate – Fruits Diet

Through a virtual conversation, Nathan can help you get ready to talk to your doctor about treatment options.

Different types of treatment are available for prostate cancer. You and your doctor will decide which treatment is right for you. Some common treatments are

  • Expectant management. If your doctor thinks your prostate cancer is unlikely to grow quickly, he or she may recommend that you dont treat the cancer right away. Instead, you can choose to wait and see if you get symptoms in one of two ways:
  • Active surveillance. Closely monitoring the prostate cancer by performing prostate specific antigen tests and prostate biopsies regularly, and treating the cancer only if it grows or causes symptoms.
  • Watchful waiting. No tests are done. Your doctor treats any symptoms when they develop. This is usually recommended for men who are expected to live for 10 more years or less.
  • Surgery. A prostatectomy is an operation where doctors remove the prostate. Radical prostatectomy removes the prostate as well as the surrounding tissue.
  • Radiation therapy. Using high-energy rays to kill the cancer. There are two types of radiation therapy
  • External radiation therapy. A machine outside the body directs radiation at the cancer cells.
  • Internal radiation therapy . Radioactive seeds or pellets are surgically placed into or near the cancer to destroy the cancer cells.
  • Other therapies used in the treatment of prostate cancer that are still under investigation include
