What causes prostate cancer? That isnt known, and there often arent any early warning signs.
The problem with prostate cancer is that, really, there arent any symptoms of prostate cancer because it lives on the outside shell of the prostate, says Dr. Heather M. Stefaniak, an Aurora BayCare urological surgeon.
When it is advanced, you may see blood in the urine, difficulty with urination, but the problem with prostate cancer is that you really dont see those until its advanced.
A weak urine flow or frequent urination may be signs of prostate cancer. However, they also can be caused by prostate conditions that are not cancerous.
Researchers have pinpointed these risk factors for prostate cancer:
Prostate cancer is very treatable, very curable when found early, Stefaniak says. If prostate cancer is found early, the potential for cure is very high, a 90, 95 percent chance of you being cured.
Cancer Ribbon: What Does Color Mean

They were later associated with the United States Army to symbolize that their loved ones were serving their country. Penny Reingen, whose husband was a hostage in Iran, used the ribbon first in this way, after getting an idea from the pop act Dawns song, and tied a yellow ribbon around the tree. Tie a yellow ribbon around the oleok tree.
The Pink Ribbon made its debut in 1992 after being created by Self Magazine Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Penny to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and distributed in stores using a cosmetics company. Since then, ribbons have been used to mark a variety of health problems, from Alzheimers disease and AIDS to bipolar disorder and brain damage , but cancer is the most common. Ribbons tend to be consciousness-related illnesses.
