But There Is No Magic Pill For An Enlarged Prostate
Healing my prostate was easy enough, but it still required some action.
At first, I was highly skeptical that Scott could help.
I only agreed because I was desperate.
Traditional medicine had completely failed me.
And spending a lot of money on expensive prostate supplements had taught me the bitter lesson that theyre nothing but useless shams.
I believed diet and lifestyle changes could help. But I had no idea where to start.
So, I decided to take the leap of faith.
Can Claritin Cause Prostate Problems
Second-generation antihistamines do not carry a prostate warning and would perhaps be a better choice for patients with allergic rhinitis who have BPH.
Can antihistamines affect prostate?
Antihistamines and decongestants may add to the problem. These drugs can make it harder for the prostate and the bladder to relax, making it even more difficult for urine to flow.
Does Claritin affect urination?
Oral antihistamines weaken the bladder contractions. This lessens the bladders ability to expel the urine.
What medications can cause prostate problems?
An older generation of antidepressant drugs called tricyclic antidepressants reduces bladder muscle contractions. That can aggravate BPH symptoms and increase the risk for urinary retention.
Does loratadine cause prostate problems?
The newer second- and third- generation antihistamines, such as loratadine , cetirizine and fexofenadine cause less drowsiness and have fewer adverse effects on bladder contractions. Thus, they do not carry a prostate warning.
The Initial Causes Does Loratadine Interfere With The Prostate
One of the first symptoms of prostate issues is pain or tenderness in the groin or lower back. This can be the result of a noncancerous condition called enlarged prostatic tissue, or it could be an infection of the bladder. In either case, its important to see a doctor as soon as possible. If youre suffering from prostate pain, you may want to consider reducing your caffeine intake.
Another symptom of a potentially enlarged prostate is difficulty starting a stream of urine, leaking, or dribbling. These symptoms are not serious, but theyre still alarming. Most men put up with an enlarged prostate for years before seeking medical attention, but they typically seek treatment as soon as they notice symptoms. Even if you dont have symptoms, its worth getting checked to determine if you have any prostate issues.
If you experience nightly bathroom runs, you may be experiencing an enlarged prostate. You may be having difficulty starting a stream of urine, or you may even be dribbling or leaking during the day. These problems arent life-threatening, but can become a nuisance. You should not ignore these signs and seek treatment as soon as you notice them. If you feel any of these symptoms, you should consult a doctor.

Im Grateful I Didnt Chicken Out
Because Scott has since stopped seeing people in person.
He says it takes too much time from his research and writing, and his time is better served there.
Hes the kind of person who is all about effectiveness.
He doesnt like to be in the spotlight, promote himself, or do interviews.
Thats why youre discovering his prostate approach by word of mouth from me, his eternally thankful client.
I want to pay this forward!
Because nobody else has uncovered the real underlying cause of enlarged prostate that Scott identified.
Therefore, nobody else can give you the roadmap to prostate health that he gave me and that I now want to give you.
What Are The Riskiest Allergy Medications For Older Adults
Wozniak: Be wary of medications such as Benadryl® and Chlor-Trimeton® . These are first-generation antihistamines available over the counter. Theyre especially risky for older adults because they have a group of side effects known as anticholinergic effects. The symptoms can include:
- Urinary retention
They can also be very sedating. These medications have the potential to cause a lot of drowsiness, which can lead to confusion for some older adults.
Men with an enlarged prostate shouldnt take Benadryl® because of the urinary side effects. People who have glaucoma or are at higher risk for it should also likely steer clear, because of the potential for blurred vision and dry eyes.

He Put His Prostate Protocol To The Ultimate Test
He gave the prostate protocol to hundreds of men all over the world.
Then he interviewed them repeatedly on their progress.
He studied what worked and what didnt work for them.
And he adjusted the strategy accordingly.
Until one day, he was confident that his strategy could help everyone.
Fortunately for me, Scott had his strategy fully molded when I met him.
After our initial face-to-face meeting , he handed me an approximately 150-page printout of the prostate protocol.
Alternate Treatments That Wont Affect The Prostate
Vapor rubs using topical preparations containing camphor, menthol, eucalyptus and other aromatic oils may be applied to the neck and chest at bedtime or vaporized in a machine during sleeping hours. There is some evidence that the use of aroma therapy can help relieve symptoms of the common cold. Vapor therapy does not cause urinary difficulties.

Symptomatic treatment of an enlarged prostate usually involves a combination of medication and lifestyle changes. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables may be the best option if you suffer from chronic urination. It will help the body adjust to the increased size of the prostate. Also, taking regular urination intervals will help retrain the bladder to function properly. Inactivity also contributes to urine retention, and cold temperatures can increase the urge to urinate.
Invasive treatment of enlarged prostate includes medication that relieves the pressure on the urethra and bladder. However, if the condition is severe, it may require surgical intervention. If treatment is not successful, the enlarged prostate can become a potentially life-threatening disease. As the hormone levels in the body change, the enlarged prostate can lead to various complications, including urinary retention and even cancer. This is why it is critical to see a doctor for further evaluation.
Treating Seasonal Allergies And Worsening Bph
Spring has sprung!Days are lasting longer, weather is warmer and plants are blooming. For many, this also means seasonal allergies are back and that its time to break out the allergy medications. While allergy medications help alleviate sneezing, nasal congestion, post nasal drainage and headaches, those same medications can actually worsen urinary symptoms if you have benign prostate hyperplasia with obstruction .
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is a common medical condition that affects about 40 million men in the United States. As the prostate grows and enlarges benignly it begins to press on and obstruct the urethra, causing symptoms such as frequent daytime urination, getting up at night frequently to urinate, a weak or slow stream, the feeling of not emptying the bladder completely, an urgent need to urinate, or difficulty starting a urinary stream. Although BPH is a benign condition, many men find it disruptive to their lives. It is treatable with medications and surgical procedures. The big allergy medication offenders are antihistamines and decongestants, which are often found in combination cold/allergy medications or as single medications that treat allergies only. These drugs can make it harder for the prostate and the bladder to relax, making it even more difficult for urine to flow.

Tips For Staying Alert
In treating allergies or a cold with antihistamines, you may experience drowsiness, a common side effect of the medication.
How does this happen? Histamine is a chemical produced by the immune system to fight off allergens and germs. When there is a threat of allergies or infection , histamine is even more active. In its search-and-destroy process, it can cause allergy or cold symptoms such as runny nose, coughing, sneezing and itch eyes. Antihistamine medications relieve these symptoms by blocking the unwanted effects of histamine.
Unrelated to the immune system, histamine is also produced in the brain, where it plays an important part in feeling awake. Antihistamines used to treat respiratory symptoms can get into the brain and interrupt this work, making you feel drowsy.
Simple Lifestyle Changes Can Bring Major Relief
Benign prostatic hyperplasia is the most common cause of prostate enlargement. As a man ages, BPH becomes more common. About half of all men between the ages of 51 and 60 develop it, and up to 90 percent of men over age 80 will have it.
During a mans lifetime, the prostate has two main growth periods. The first is when he goes through puberty, during which the prostate will double in size. The second growth period starts around age 25, after which the prostate will begin to grow again. It is natural for the prostate to grow, and this is what is referred to as BPH. This benign condition does not lead to prostate cancer, but the two can coexist.
Specific symptoms of BPH include:
- A hesitant, interrupted, weak urine stream
- Urgency, leaking, or dribbling
- A sense of incomplete emptying
- More frequent urination, especially at night
A man experiencing any of these symptoms should consult his physician to seek treatment, as there are many ways to deal with BPH. There are medications to choose from and effective surgical treatments with few side effects if surgery is necessary.
However, lifestyle changes can be another method of reducing symptoms of BPH. Before automatically believing that the symptoms are due only to BPH, all men should have a yearly prostate exam to rule out the possibility of prostate cancer. Once it is determined to be a benign enlarged prostate, men can do seven simple lifestyle changes to manage the symptoms of BPH and bring relief:

Allergy Drug Makes It Hard To Pee
Allergies mean misery, whether it is a seasonal reaction to pollen or a year-round problem with dust mites or cat dander. Itchy eyes, a runny nose and congested nasal passages are no fun. Treating these symptoms with an allergy medicine makes a lot of sense, but some people should skip the drugs. Some allergy pills can make it really hard to pee!
Then Ill Have To Send You To Scott Davis
Im grateful my doctor was humble enough to admit he couldnt help me. And wise enough to know that someone else could.
He would actually like to send all his prostate patients to Scott.
Because, like he says, Scott gets the job done.
Something the medical system simply doesnt have the tools to do.
The problem is that many of his patients dont want to put in the little effort it takes to heal their prostates.
Instead, they want him to prescribe a magic pill and be done with it.

Be Smart Be Aware Of Allergy Medication Side Effects
Smart use of allergy medications knowing how they treat symptoms, being aware of potential unwanted side effects and, most important, monitoring their effect on you and your health is just one step toward controlling allergy and cold symptoms. Even more important: knowing what you are allergic to and taking steps to prevent or reduce exposure.
If your allergy symptoms tend to last longer than two weeks or are not adequately controlled with over-the-counter medications, schedule an appointment with a board-certified allergist for a full diagnosis.
Antihistamines and intranasal corticosteroids are intended for symptom relief. If antihistamines or intranasal corticosteroids are causing side effects such as drowsiness or other problems, there are other treatment options your doctor can offer you, such as allergen immunotherapy.

Scott Got The Inspiration From A Groundbreaking Prostate Study Published In The Oxford University Journal: Journals Of Gerontology: Medical Sciences
The study researched a tribe in the Bolivian Amazon named Tsimane Amerindians.
And what this study revealed changed everything.
You see, almost nobody in this tribe had an enlarged prostate. Even the oldest men.
But what this Oxford study failed to do was to identify WHY this tribe does not develop enlarged prostates.
And the quest for this WHY set Scott out on a mission.
So, Scott did what Scott does. He investigated things for himself.
He jumped on a plane down to the Bolivian jungles.
And began to study this and other tribes that dont suffer enlarged prostates.
And thats where he discovered

What About Other Types Of Antihistamines Do They Have Side Effects And Are Older Adults More Susceptible
Wozniak: All drugs can carry side effects. Unfortunately, older adults can be more susceptible to them because of some of the natural changes that happen in the body with aging and how medications break down. Their liver and kidneys cant flush out medications as well, so they stay in the system longer. They might weigh less and need lower doses.
